Who Owns NOKEN

NOKEN Connecting Communities – is A Samdhana Initiative but owned by indigenous peoples and local communities, individuals and organizations who takes part in this woven act and platform. Many of them will be the nokeners, after meeting only a few requirements: be sassy and saucy, funny, bondy (all good definitions of it, including the ability to ensure availability of “free electrons contributes to metals being excellent conductors). In short, to happily make bonding, be connected, learning and sharing. The following is some of those who has those qualities and now owns noken:

More technologically adept people will say this as open platform, open source,crowdsourced, crowdfunded. In lay trems it means simply that NOKEN Connecting Communities- will relay on the enthusiasm of the will-be-many nokeners who will on their own noken here and there. And they will noken here and there not because they have this or that project, but simply because they are sassy and saucy (I don’t know if this is the correct translation from what I want to say, which in Bahasa Indonesia, to borrow from Pramoedya Ananta Toer, is: berlaku lancang sejak dalam pikiran), funny, driven by the urge to learning and sharing, and happy in making connections to other communities.

So, it’s not a big surprise that we finally got to meet the actually technologically adept people, the Clevio Camp (http://clev.io). It’s because as stated in the byline, is not just the act of lugging around a noken to where those communities are, but also running a platform where those connections of communities, products and knowledge could take place sustainably and, in somebody’s language, happily gamey. It is in this building of platform that Clevio Camp came aboard, to collaborate in developing the digital platform. The thinking so far is that it will be web and mobile application that will have knowledge, social, and game aspects (as in Wikipedia, Facebook, and Rebel Inc.).
